With the success of Nintendo's Wii console catching much of the industry off guard and offering fresh interactive features, developers need new tools to be able to develop for multiple platforms that offer vastly different capabilities and require different programming techniques," said Geoffrey Selzer, CEO of Emergent. "We are committed to making multiplatform development as painless as possible while still delivering industry leading performance. Gamebryo for Wii simply sets a new standard for middleware designed for this top selling platform. We are very proud to be part of Nintendo's Third Party Tools program.

It's not Oblivion's engine per se-Bethesda tricked that pony out something fierce for their games-just the base code will run on the Wii. Should you throw any degree of Oblivion level textures at the Wii, you'll get a error message like this when executing your program.

signal 101: VRAM LOLZ AT YOU

88 total. 64 in the regular working set.

if you want to know what oblivion wii will look like, install the pc version, turn everything down to its lowest setting, set the resolution at 640x480, and create/install a mod that uses the character models from morrowind. every time you come to a clear disc read/transition area, close your eyes for one-two minutes. then proceed to bash your face in with a brick because WHY GOD WHY
