Time to watch some Jappafaggotry!
3 Minutes in and I'm not impressed graphically. Its like FFXII with anti aliasing.
-
It's interesting how each player takes a "turn" in combat. I can see this fresh gameplay catching on.
They're getting attacked by invisible wild life too, I mean, wow just wow
-
stfu this game is gonna rock
blue dragon is gorgeous, this will be too
-
rpg gamers are truly jaded these days :(
-
If I had never seen the "footage" of FFXIII and you told me this was FFXIII I would believe you.
It looks a lot like FFX in HD.
-
I will take traditional, turn-based combat over shit like FFXII and whatever shooter crap they are trying to put into Mass Effect any day of the week. Glad to see the 'gooch sticking to his guns doing what he does best. Blue Dragon rocks and this will too.
-
sorry peeps, I dont see the problem with random battles or (fast) turn based combat
game looks beautiful, and I think the attacks/cinematics and spells all look great
motionblur/etc
next gen ffxesqe battles confirmed
-
It looks OK. I'm not too impressed with the character models. The animation looks good and so do the environments but overall the graphics are a little bland by today's standards.
I dunno Demi. I'm afraid to hitch my wagon to something as genre bending as this "Lost Odyssey."
Lost Odyssey is pretty much the 360's FF which means it's the same old gameplay that you'll either love or be completely sick of.

Lost Odyssey > Psychonauts
If people can spooge over a no-name like TIM SCHAFER then I can spooge over a no-name like WASABI SAKAGUCHI
-
Someone with Wasabi as a first name has to be much cooler than Tim Schafer. Tim Schaer sounds like a uber nerd.
-
Psychonauts was pretty overrated, too. The collectathon elements were as bad as any RARE game I've played, and the massive hub world really bogged gameplay down.
-
:heartbeat turn-based RPGs. forever.

Fuck yeah, best genre of gaming ever.

I for one agree with the Max who is not Red, that shit looks real weak
-
I'm positive it will be better than Advent Rising. It ran for fifteen whole minutes without crashing.
NOPE

i didn't know that ffx had depth of field and other next-gen graphics elements. :D

I HATE YOU BILLY RYGAR
-
just finished watching the entire video. :o
i love the little timing element in the battle sequences. i guess some could consider it gimmicky, but it adds a nice a little arcadeyness to the game. camera angles and use of motion blur are off the hook. special effects look fantastic as well. textures could use a bit of work and it seemed a little stuttery at times. but overall, this has peaked my desire for this game much more than the original E3 trailer. love the art direction, setting, and most especially the interface. i hope they allow players to skip through some of the little cinematics though, that could be tiresome after a while. keep it quick and snappy, that's all i ask.

This was the part I agreed with.

I heard back when he worked at Square, Sakaguchi's underlings called him Uchi-Guchi behind his back, and everybody hated him.
