Skip Devil May Cry 2. Someone from this forum suggested that to me when I first started playing the boxset and I didn't listen. Devil May Cry 3 is AWESOME though.

Really? I thought 3 was super easy, and I got a B on ever mission. Then again I'm playing SE. DMC 1 clunkiness makes it a lot harder in my opinion.

No normal, but like I said it was Special Edition. I also got B rank on all the missions but two I think.

Its funny I got it when it came out but avoided playing because everyone said it was fuck hard and I'm not the best at action games and get frustrated pritty easily nowadays, but it was really easy; like somewhere between god of war and dmc1.

It was challenging but I could always get past stuff because the combat system was so flexible, like say for example, i suck at doing side rolls so i learned to block and dodge with a double jump or using the rocket launcher/shot gun to stop enemy attacks instead of dodging. I could play how I wanted so all I had to do was developed a system to get past stuff.

the se also has the gold orbs which revive you exactly where you died instead of letting the boss/enemies heal and then put you in the previous room. i've seen some people saying that dmc3:se has less enemies than dmc3 at points too. either way, se is way easier than regular dmc3.

I don´t understand why you people put so much weight on production values. A game with a HUGE budget can still end up mediocre.

The Japanese version doesn't have the dumb red label AND it plays entirely in English. :D Now I should probably get around to actually PLAYING it one of these days.

The American Greatest Hits boxart really does stink. I bought the second Castlevania game recently, and found that it has a reversible cover-- the original without all the "best" crap all over it except a small logo on the spine. Why don't they do this in the States too?

DMC3 is pretty easy and i played on normal. Once I got to Beowulf, I never once died against a boss, and against Beowulf himself, I didn't hit once. I beat Virgil my first try without getting hit.

funny thing is that NA normal mode was JP's HARD mode lmao jappos

It was a revelation when it came out. But DMC3 was so good it made the first one look like a joke.

Maybe I was just in the zone or something, but I managed to breeze through 5 missions. Im up to mission 18 now so Ive just about finished it. The game got a lot easier once I got really good with the trickster style, dodging attacks is a breeze

Im playing the SE on Normal and the gold orbs take you back to the previous room

she is easy, but still along battle because of the small amount of time you can hit her.

Use the flails and the triangle forward attack to clear the bats off of her.

i thought i read about it coming out on the last quarter of this year, but gamefaqs has it listed for q1 2008. i guess the other one is for japan. as for an actual release date, i don't think there's one.

also, beowulf is one of the easiest bosses on normal, tho he is a lot harder on dmd, maybe one of the hardest.
