Title: Ocean's 13
Post by: bagofeyes on September 16, 2007, 11:10:06 AM
How can a movie with so many famous/good actors be so not interesting?

It feels like an Ocean's movie that was made for TV.

It was, yes.  Plus no Julia Roberts is a bonus.

I like all three of the movies, actually.  It's just that the first movie is like 100 times better than the second and 80 times better than the third.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago.  It was pretty fun.  The second one was awful, and the first one had Julia Roberts, so I think 13 is my favorite of the series.  I wouldn't mind if they keep putting out a new one in the series every few years.  It's fun to see three of Hollywood's biggest stars hanging out together.

As an aside, it was kinda funny since I went to see it with a Japanese friend, and at the end of the movie he was asking me if George Clooney and Matt Damon were famous in the US. :lol

In the first movie you could actually distinguish between the different characters. The second I can't remember cause it was so shit, but in the third it just feels like anyone was doing anything and they were all basically the same person, with no personalities.

You make a good point.  They really did all seem pretty interchangeable in 13.  No specialized jobs or people called in or anything like that.  It's like this was forgotten.

That's an odd thing to ask...

Oceans 11 was atrocious

Damn Cheebs was right about Oceans Eleven. It was pretty good although my complete inability to understand poker made some parts confusing. One day I'll fry some fish and read the poker wiki
