the in-laws are here, so i am forced to rely on my pc, the upstairs ps2/sdtv, and my handhelds for my evening gaming fix. i give y'all two hours to decide while i put my daughter to bed. GO GO GO

Wild Arms 5 or VP2
-
i forgot about vp2 again :'(
-
I voted for Guilty Gear
-
What about Medieval 2? I haven't tried it but it's getting very good reviews. And it probably has a bunch of number crunching.
-
Finish Wild Arms.

i'm in what i think is the last dungeon of wild arms v -- at least, some animu space dude is telling me to kit up 'cuz there's no going back. i probably oughtta beat it before i just say "eh" and put it on the back burner, like i have with a zillion other rpgs. for some reason, i always stop before the last fight, like i ran outta steam. oddly, i have no desire to see the ending, which is ultimately JUST ANOTHER CUTSCENE (tm).

Why, the answer is super smash bros melee
-
uh, i voted for the one that is neither an rpg nor your dick
i guess that doesn't explain why i didn't vote for 'galactic civilizations 2,' but ideally that would be self explanatory
-
Finish Wild Arms 5 so you can be done with it already.
I voted for your penis, BTW.
-
Crisis Core
Go on, just download it
-
I voted HoMM 5 despite my total fondness for GalCiv2 Dark Avatar. GalCiv2 games take a while to play out, but a HoMM5 game should be a good hour and a half affair-perfect for a Sunday night.

How good is Medieval 2, Frag? And where are the Crysis impressions?

Medieval 2 (and expansion) are really good, but they require some serious time investment to play. I am playing through the Teutonic Knights campaign and it's really fun but I haven't had a good block of time to get from the midgame to the lategame in it. I am kicking myself for not modding my installation before I started the campaign though-the base AI is still weak, though it has improved some.
Crysis is really, really fantastic. The core fundamentals of a good online shooter are here-netcode is superb, weapons and combat feel just right, vehicles handle well, and the tactical options lent by the supersuit add a wonderful strategic layer (and the interface to swap between them is effortless). Also, the game sports the best use of shader effects ever seen in a game.
The build I have on my machine is still out of date. It's running DX9 mode-which is severely gimped compared to the DX10 one-has no option for super high textures, and has some whopper memory leak issues. It still runs at a good framerate at high res/AF/AA on a 8800GTS 640, though I don't have a setup to test the framerate at 1920x1200.

finish vp2, it deserves it
