Title: I don't understand the search function here

It doesn't sort by date. What does it sort by? Also, when I searched for the exact same word on two separate occasions the results were completely different.

But there has to be some sort of parameters it uses to define the outcome of a search. I mean, right?

i'd imagine the search engine has to have some sort of terms to sort and search by, but your guess is as good as mine as to what it actually is!
