I mean I kind of felt sorry for the idiot since he was being wrestled by 5 police officers but then he screams "pooooooooliiiiiice bruuutaaality!" and I laugh.

Kid deserved it. If the police tell you to stop doing something, you fucking do it. Deal with being "innocent" later and not flail around like a freak.
-
I know, he was trying to jump away from them.

Especially if you're a black dude
-
Nobody deserves shit like from the cops. Those guys were cocksuckers and hopefully they get what is coming to them.
the guy wasn't getting to his question and when the cops come near him, he runs away and keeps on trying to jump away from the cops for the next 1-2 minutes.
-
It's called resisting arrest
btw am ninthenho I agree with you. mark your calender!
-
In no way am I suggesting that the police's action in silencing him was admirable: my point is that if the police fucking tell you to do something, you do it. If you don't, you're liable for any tame ass kicking (which is what he got) you may receive.
-
jesus christ, that was horrifying
I can't believe anybody is defending what happened in that video.
-
jesus christ, that was horrifying
you. dont. run. away. from. cops.
It doesn't matter if you didn't do anything. If you attempt to RUN AWAY from cops coming toward you then you are a fool.
-
he was arrested for a stupid reason but the FIRST thing that comes to his mind when 5 police officers come towards him is how to create more attention.
-
I'm not even going to debate you people who say "they're cops, you have to do whatever they say."
nobody would even tell him what he was being arrested for or why. he's already on the ground, pinioned by 5 cops, and THEN he's tasered? what sort of a threat was he at that point?
and I don't know what video you watched, but he didn't run. I don't think he was resisting arrest, either--he just wanted to know on what charge he was being arrested. cops can't arrest you first and tell you what they're getting you for later. there are specific laws about that.
enjoy your police state.
-
well he DIDN'T run, he just jumped around for 2 minutes while they held him. which makes me think he wants attention. when the UCLA student got tasered 5 times I thought that was wrong.
-
I dunno, have you ever been tasered? It fucking hurts. Just cause it's "non-lethal" doesn't mean it's any sane way to end a discourse.
-
The guy is clearly deluded and was annoying if anything but arresting\capaciting him for what exactly?
-
First actually funny thing to come out of this: http://www.donttasemebro.com/ now redirects to the University of Florida webpage.
-
If he did what the police told him to do he wouldn't have been tasered. It's that simple. If they demand that you stop resisting arrest (which you can be charged with) or else, you should know what's coming next. Instead he tried to play martyr
That's not civil disobedience, that's stupidity
-
Looks like 5 cops who shouldn't have jobs tomorrow.
-
They can - but not if you resist arrest while questioning it
-
Yes but he was within his rights to continue his question PD. In fact Kerry was comfortable in answering it (or in part). The police overstepped their boundry when he was clearly doing nothing wrong.
If Kerry asked the police to do something it would be understandable.
-
let them arrest you first, ask questions later
if you want to know the charge for which you're being arrested, this called is "resisting arrest"
cops are busy, they'll tell you why they're arresting you when they're good and ready (and not a moment sooner)
remember: do what a cop says! no matter what! if they weren't always right they wouldn't be cops
-
I think that it's stupid that he tried to reason with them even though he knew he was going to be arrested by the cops when they approached him. they were idiotic cops but he seemed SINCERELY surprised that he was going to get wrestled and tasered.
and tasers can be lethal.

How to not get your ass kicked by the police.

They guy was clearly trying to get attention/start shit. I knew a person at the thing, and apparently he told his friend to start rolling the camera right before he started shit.

I love that vid

If you're saying he was trying to get arrested and/or tasered for attention then you're a fucking loon.
I have no clue why he was being arrested but he shouldn't have been tasered. You're telling me 5 cops can't pull a skinny white boy out of a building?
-
first things first, i find the video funny because watching someone get tasered always makes me laugh.
but it's a horrible precedent if people decide to let those cops get away with this. that's ridiculous. he didn't do anything worthy of any kind of physical force. it was an overreaction by the police that caused him to overreact and it spiraled out of control. i'm not defending the asshole cops, but also think about the fact that they're in a tough spot. on one side, they have people there recording it, they don't want to be the asshole cops who are on the news about police brutality. but on the other side, they don't want to be the people who let some asshole pull out a gun and shoot john kerry. they are law enforcement, the worst scenario is always on their mind.
regardless, they should held accountable for the stupid shit they pulled as well. i find it disturbing that there are people who side with the police on this. since when is it a crime to ask a question of someone who supposedly works for us??? he is controlling my life in an essence, he owes me explanations.
