Title: Blue Dragon: Sakaguchi is BACK
Post by: demi on September 22, 2007, 01:52:13 AM
I'm fighting the final boss right now. This is probably the most epic setup and fight I've seen in so long. The music is amazing.

Everyone buy this game right now. RPGs are back. This is the reboot. My hype has just increased hundred-fold for Lost Odyssey.

This is GOTY 2007. Nothing even comes close. Best RPG I've played since the SNES days.

It's so shameful that this got smeared across the scoreboard. This game is simply amazing.

Also, they need to bring over the content here pronto, especially the hard difficulty. The game is extremely easy unfortunately.

I just beat the entire last few bosses without them getting a turn... and I'm only Level 60.

Still, apart from the difficulty, everything is top marks. Easily an RPG everyone should play, whether you like them or not.

Well, that's it. Credits rolling.

What a great ending. Very heart-warming. I love it.

Awesome, the last dungeon looks like a doozy so far, but at least I know the end will be worth it!

As a little easter egg, when you beat the game, you find out that "Toripo" the voice clip is actually Akira Toriyama himself.

I guess I'm not as a big of a japafag as i thought I was, because I'm not enjoying this game as I expected. I'm approaching the end of the game right now and if I was to give a numerical review it would probably be 6.5. The story expectedly is cliched, but the game tries to inject a serious overtone halfway through and it just doesn't mesh (rape and suicidelol) and Shu schtick is getting old. The combat only feels half complete - I haven't gained any new shadow skills since lvl 20 and my shadows are approaching lvl 50, not to mention almost every attack has the same animations. Basically the game fell apart after the second disc.

+ I'm pretty sure this marumaru character molest children  :-\

The shadows learn their last skill around 35, except for Barrier Magic, which is at 50.

You are supposed to vary it up.

I'm varying up my skills like Demi said. But I'm also limiting all 4 Characters in a way by choosing 2-3 different classes for each.

Shu = Monk, Defender, Swordsman

Kuluk = Assasin, Black Magic

Other dude = White Magic, Barrier Magic, Support Magic

FUCKEN ANNOYING DUDE = Just Monk for now (just acquired him)
