The romance is over at the start of season 2. It was concluded off screen during the summer. It does the thing the office did with having the summer happen in "real time".

The first episode of season 2 sounds great. Alec Bawldin to improve NBC ratings keeps putting in random clips of Seinfeld in all their shows that are totally out of place.
