Title: Anyone know about wireless networks and stuff?

I was logging onto a wireless net connection in my building for a while that wasn't password protected, but recently my computer hasn't been able to find the connection anymore. However, if I do a passive scan in kismac, it still sees it, its still not encrypted or anything, but I can't log on to it? Is it blocking some address on my computer or something?

maybe they turned mac filtering on because they realized a white man was using their wireless network and they freaked.
