I thought it was pretty sweet. Well, when Alice was whuppin ass.

I figured that the filmmakers veered WAY AWAY from the source material and wouldn't include him.

They're ok. It makes you want to play Resident Evil. I wanted to after seeing this.

The first movie isn't really Resident Evil the mythos, but they introduce it at the end, which is where the second movie opens up... and so on

When Final Fantasy TSW came out I locked myself in my room for about three weeks out of morbid embarassment.  I was afraid people on the street would point and laugh at me for being an FF fan.  After finally emerging I watched the movie around 14 times trying to convince myself to like it, without much success for the most part, though I briefly managed to think it was a 3/5 at one point.

otoh I genuinely enjoyed Advent Children.  it's basically a middling episode of Buffy padded out to feature length and given great set design, which means it's 6.5/10.

They are definitely not high cinema, but they are both very entertaining.

Nemesis was pretty bad in the second one though, he looked like a pile of melty rubber.

Claire looks like a butch beaver, and she doesnt even have her signature jacket. Jill is probably the most faithful character.

I'm going to see it tonight.  I wasn't that impressed with the first two movies, but they were enjoyable as mindless fluff... with the second being slightly more mindful and also fluffier.

dammmmmm she was hot in the 2nd movie, her outfit from RE3 (game) was really well replicated. I was disappointed with the Nemesis, he was all slow and shit. In the game hes chasing you all over the fucken place

They do Dr. Birkin pretty well, they show how he becomes mutated, but there is no umbrella swat team. He doesn't have the eye though.

Dr. Birkin is my favorite resident evil boss, the form where he has that huge claw for a right hand and the eye on his shoulder.

yeah I remember when I first saw the Pics of that form and I was like OMG Im on the RE2 hype train for reals, it was probably the first game that I got hyped for prior to it's release. Maybe I could count Quake I dunno

I think Birkin had 5 forms total... fuck Id kill for REmake 2. I might have to replay RE2 shortly, such an amazing game

I saw it last night finally.  I was very disappointed.  Not that I had high expectations, but I just found myself being very bored.  The pacing is off.  The movie seemed a lot longer than it really was.  I kept waiting for something interesting to happen and then when they finally delivered the final fight scene it was over so quickly.
I'll totally see the fourth one if/when they make it though.
