love it. This is the first extended edition of a movie that makes me feel like it's added something REALLY significant.
The extended cut of 40 Yr Old Virgin is substantially worse than the theatrical cut.
I liked the extra scenes in the DC of the 40YOV. shrugthey weren't bad, the movie is still fantastic but it is the "worse" of the two cuts, it feels a little long.
Well, my friends aren't fegs, so the click-flick "more mature" shit doesn't matter. They just want FUNNY. I tend to agree. :P
which is why the 40 year old virgin was better than knocked up.it wasn't. 40YOV dragged too long (in both versions but I preferred the DC).
I liked Knocked Up. I bought the HD-DVD version so I'm not sure if it has all the extras of the extended edition.whats the boxart? It may be extended. If it's rogen's face up close then it's extended.

I really liked Superbad only for the awesome that is Michael Cera. Other than that, I'd say 40 Year Old Virgin is my favorite one. It had the most consistent laughs for me, Steve Carrell is just awesome, and you can't beat that supporting cast.Heavyweights.... :lol
Knocked Up was really good, but as people have said before here, it's a little too mushy. Seth Rogen's good stuff though.
Haven't watched Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, or Heavyweights yet.
What you're saying is that everything he did that was good was "his" work, but everything bad was just "writing for hire." I dunno, man, usually whenever you deal with a writer or creative type, you should take all his work, good and bad, and judge it for what it is. And for what it's worth, Heavyweights definitely feels like an Apatow film.Well the other stuff he produced as well and had significant control over. Heavyweights was just him pumping out a script for Disney. It can feel like Apatow but I really wouldn't put it alongside Knocked Up and 40 Year Old Virgin. :lol
Unless he publicly disowns those works, I shall always consider them a vital part of the Apatowgraphy, and necessary viewing to understand the auteur's psyche. Are we treating Apatow like a Kurosawa now? Awesome.
Gay Boy, you have no gonads. You were the same dude who preferred Megan Fox and Shia TheBeef's love story to ROBOT ACTION in the Transformers movie.

At this point I can't even remember how the two cut's are different since I have seen the DC far more.
I know, I realize the TC is better for those reasons I just can't pinpoint the new stuff anymore. At this point I can't even remember how the two cut's are different since I have seen the DC far more.
The DC drags a lot of the jokes on for far too long.

Didn't really like this movie. Seth Rogen did not make for a likeable main character and neither did that blonde bitch. The laughs were few and far between, and this was pretty much a chick flick.
i should watch the koh director's cut today
Luckily, it was no Transformers for me, either.

I am unsure if that is a good thing or a bad thing
Good. Transformers was shit, outside of Shia. Shia was the only thing worth seeing in that movie. I have no fucking clue how he has done it but Shia is a pretty damn decent actor.Luckily, it was no Transformers for me, either.

Good thing, since I think TVC is of the same opinion as I - that Transformers sucked nasty balls.
so a transformer was making out inside of another transformer? isn't that like incest or something?
I don't think he's that great, but he's fun to watch. That's why I said damn decent not damn great!

People mocked me for liking Disturbia when it came out. And that was prior to the Indiana Jones stuff too! :-\
Transformers was fucking terrible, but I actually liked Shia in it. He's pretty charismatic, and I don't particularly think him as Indy Jr was bad casting. Charisma goes a long ways, and it's kinda what got Harrison Ford so far (along with his classic ad libbing ability).Agreed. I think they'll be able to play off one another well during the film.
So does the extended edition insert all the new scenes into the movie, or do I have the option not to watch them? Trying to pick which version of the DVD to buy.
So should I just get the regular edition and save $5? Or are there extra special features that're worth it?the commentary is AMAZING which is unrated only
