I played Blue Dragon for over 14 hours, possibly closer to 16.  After which I fell asleep.  For 14 hours.  I just woke up.

I wanna fuckin play eternal sonata and blue dragon but this cold is kickin my ass.

A cold affliction doesn't stop me from playing a bunch of 360 games, Eternal Sonata being one of them.

I'm at the last dungeon and having played this game is a good thing because bearing the horribly repetitive button mashing fests devoid of any strategy with the same few monsters located in the exact same spots on the fighting screen over and over again makes bearing my irritated, mucus-filled nostrils seem like not such a bad turn of events in comparison.

he's inexpertly trolling, as usual

This isn't trolling, Eternal Sonata really makes you go through the same inane fights with the same few monsters for hours on end. There are like 12 different monsters in the whole game with like 5-6 palette swaps each.

I just picked up the new CSI game for 360, I'm gonna be busy tonight :rock

Eternal Sonata just isn't the epic saga Xenosaga was, no comparison really

I did complete it a while ago and it's 10 times better than Eternal Sonata.

The size of the beastiary and the monster animations = :o

I am grinding in Blue Dragon right now.  I am trying to get everyone maxed out in generalist, because maxing out another class without having the extra skill slots would kinda be pointless.

Any good place to grind job points?
Title: Re: I played Blue Dragon all night
Post by: demi on September 30, 2007, 05:48:18 PM
When I meant max out a class, I just mean get the last skill, which is around Level 35 or so.

Grinding Shadow Points can be pretty tedious, equip any Black Belts you have, or the Eyepatch, if you did that little sidequest. Doubles SP.

Also, having Barrier Field 3 -- earned at Barrier Class Level 50 -- is the best method to farm SP.

Just do the various side-quests (those orange stars that appear on your map once you get the Mechat), and you should farm plenty of SP just by doing those.

Yeah, I am only going up to the last skill for now.  How do you get the eye patch?

Black Belts. . .not sure if I have any of those.

Barrier level 3, lol, I haven't gone near level 50.  Since barrier isn't that useful, and Zola, my barrier girl ain't in party, I have been neglecting that.

I just finished the frozen town.

I've been using Barrier 2 to go around and kill this little frog monsters you first meet (with the leaf on their helmets). Theres lots of them and they give you 2 SP per Barrier Kill. That plus some Mega Magical Medicine for Jiro = Lots of SP in a short amount of time.

Also, how do I use the ultimate white magic skill, Resurrection? It doesn't show up as a menu option anywhere.  Or is it automatically used on the caster when he dies, so there is no selecting it?

I would imagine the masturbator would have to pretend to be asian or he wouldn't be able to get off.  Also, his dad does it, not his mom.

The best place for quick large chunks of SP is the Underground River between Baroy Town and the Ancient Factory. There is a little side-room that is full of Kelolons. Be careful though, when you kill them all and try to leave, you will get attacked by the Moody Dragon. He's pretty easy actually, but make sure you STEAL the Lei from it -- it doubles EXP rate. You have to defeat it for a side-quest that you do for an achievement (Dragon Bracelet).

Post by: demi on September 30, 2007, 07:03:03 PM
You can also get the 10+ Encounter Battle achievement in that room as well, keep escaping and grouping them as close as you can.
Title: Re: I played Blue Dragon all night
Post by: TVC15 on September 30, 2007, 07:04:32 PM
I already killed that dragon.  Did not know about the Lei :(

I ran by a lot of chests in the wilderness area I am currently in due to story reasons, so I am going to go back and get the chests I missed first, then I will go back to there.

Also, the description for Resurrection doesn't tell me how to use it, or whether it is an auto-skill.  Demi's cockiness am fail.

Edit:  Those things run away really quickly, though, and it takes them a bit to pop back up.. . maybe if I put the enemy attract skill on.

Go to Jibral Town Courtyard and open the barrier chest for the Poo Bracelet -- it is required to defeat the Golden Poo (achievement) along with grinding them for gold (achievement) and EXP (achievement).

Apply Stink to your character and they won't run away as much.

She gives him footjobs to simulate not having arms.  Pretty hot.

You need the Mechat, they are located on the Southern Deserted Island, one of those tiny islands at the bottom of the map. They are extremely fast, and run away at the first turn. You must equip the Shoes of Hermes (allows first attack) and the Poo Bracelet.

I have been abusing shoes of hermes for a bit now.  Shoes of Hermes and Double Cast ends most battles before they begin.

No idea. . .I found it in my inventory.  I probably got it opening a chest that was sealed, since it is somewhat powerful. I really didn't pay attention to the extra accessories until I started as Generalists today.

Any idea where you got the others?  I am assuming sealed chests somewhere.
