Also, in a semi-related note, in anticipation of starting Persona 3, I went to its wiki page to check out the profiles of the playable characters. The very first profile, of the main character, SPOILS THE GAME'S ENTIRE ENDING. I HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED THE THING AND ALREADY KNOW HOW IT ENDSewpq58-q2354rsdddsfpsadfouahspdufoapiu

I just read the Wiki entry, and it also confirms that the version that is in America right now isn't even the real version. Everyone who bought this got duped by Atlus USA.
Why would you buy this knowing FES is out there? Tell Atlus to choke on a dick and take the time to bring that version out.

No, I already knew this wasn't the definitive version. But it's like an Atlus tradition to screw up Persona releases - Persona 1 changed one character's ethnicity and omitted an entire portion of the game, for Persona 2 they only released HALF of the game, and for Persona 3 they didn't release the director's cut or the extra FES material which was effectively the game's conclusion.

Isn't the FES edition mainly about subquests concerning that creepy lolicon robot "Aigis"? Good thing that FES will never come to NA, then. I really hated that character.

According to the Wiki it's basically a sequel to Persona 3 with Aigis as the main character. I don't think she's lolicon, though (from the pictures I've seen), what makes you think that? ???

No Mondain, you are missing the point
As a diehard Persona fan -- even moreso than Himuro -- I am downright INSULTED that Atlus would not use the extra manpower to bring over what is OBVIOUSLY the version to get. Why should I settle with this second-hand crap?

While I think it's obvious that demi is kidding about being a diehard Persona fan, I agree with him that it's ridiculous that there's a superior version in Japan but when they choose the version to port, they make the conscious decision to choose the inferior version.
At least with stuff like Final Fantasy XII and Kingdom Hearts and whatnot, the superior versions came out in Japan AFTER the US releases...

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, FFX International, or any of those special editions didn't contain any "real endings" - they just added some bonus bosses, or new modes (Chain of Memories in 3D).
FES is basically -the- version to get, it tells the consumer that they never finished the game on time. It's not an "alternative" ending, it's -the- ending, the one the story had in mind.
Ichirou - I am without a doubt a diehard Persona fan. I just don't flaunt it like a schizophrenic Himuro. Persona 3 isn't that good.

I was bored at work and hyped to play Persona 3, I didn't expect a character profile to reveal the game's frickin' ENDING.
