Not to shit on anyone's religion (I proposed to a catholic), but this is just absurd.

The head of the Catholic Church in Mozambique has told the BBC he believes some European-made condoms are infected with HIV deliberately.

Post by: Mandark on October 03, 2007, 01:47:15 PM: I had the science of AIDS explained to me every other year from when I was nine to when I graduated HS, so I tend to roll my eyes when people talk of the need to educate the public. But there are some scarily widespread, ignorant views about AIDS/HIV in Africa, even among the elites.

protestants are pretty fucked up in this area though, they're the only ones that come up to me and tell me to deny evolution in science class and they stand outside of schools passing out coins and candy with bible quotes and times to come to a church youth meeting on them.

Post by: brawndolicious on October 03, 2007, 10:19:32 PM: yeah I know that you were raised mormon (I assume since you said your sister was married in a temple) so I was wondering if my observations on mormonism were correct. I actually think I remember you saying once that you'd "never go back to being mormon" once but that doesn't make me assume mormons handed out candy and a lot of them denied evolution.
