I did not want to bump the other music threads. Good job, Abrader, with the "What are you listening to" threads, BTW. I was impressed by all you guys selections in the other threads. I'm looking to get into trance and electronica but I don't know where to start. I know could always use Google, but I would rather get recommendation from people here. I'm looking for albums specifically. I'm also trying to avoid compilations like the Ultra Dance Series.

I could make you a huge list of trance and progressive, but just start with this:

Armin Van Buuren has a weekly show called A State of Trance. You can find a new set every Thursday, look around.

There are a couple of good radio shows, my favorite obviously being Tiesto's Club Life, John Digweed's Transitions, the Subtraxx Experience with Miika Kuisma, and Above and Beyond's Trance Around The World. ASOT has been pretty hit and miss for me lately, to tell you the truth Armin was a bit disappointing for me this year as a whole.

Justice
Daft Punk
Pendulum (drum and bass but still awesome)
Infected Mushroom
Amon Tobin

for starters.
OH man, I love you Groo. Sampling both those albums and they definitely hit the electronica "spot" I've been looking for!
I hate how iTunes has various Digweed albums but they don't have any of the Northern Exposure albums :(

BluTsu - get MMII and Global Underground: Hong Kong. Fucking amazing Diggers albums. Communicate was a total disappointment for me.

I'll definitely look into those. Digweed fucken rocks, he really injects life into what usually are lifeless constant beats, I love love love him. I also got the West and East Coast editions of Northern Exposure and oh man the vocals are amazing!
