Title: Did Warhawk hold up?
Post by: bork on October 03, 2007, 11:34:47 PM
Warhawk should be out today here in Japan.

Is it still worth a try?  Do you guys even play the game anymore, or has it been tossed aside in favor of games like Halo 3?

 :(

seriously, it looks generic to me.

EDIT: it's still great if you like online only game, though i still think waiting for COD4 or UT3 might be a better choice.

It's good, but like Shadowrun, it's doomed to 7.0 territory due to lack of content.  What's there plays well.  Worth it if you can nab it cheap.

All right, I purchased it...3800 yen, which is about $32 U.S. Download-only here.

I love the way the jets play in this game!  Excellent controls.  I'm satisfied with it, although I think it would make a better $20 title.

yes it held up - and wether people wanna hear it or not, its more fun than halo 3 online. It also supports 32 players where Halo3's max seems to be 16.

That's what i meant man, at it's current price, it ain't worth it.

still fun though, i bought it for my brother lately and he is enjoying his time.

No, it's not.  And there's also far, far less people playing online.  But I am enjoying this more than Battlefield 2 on 360.

More players in Halo 3 as 2x more xboxes of course...

But while Halo3 is fun, its basically halo2 online.

I like it- but Warhawk is just amazing fun and the 32 player game size really helps.

I wish i could play it right now actually - my ps3 is packed up.

It is a shame they cut the single player from the game.  The multiplayer just isn't worth the investment....it is pretty fun for a while though. Gets boring quickly.

It does need map packs - as does shadowrun (another great game crippled by lack of content)
