Title: 3D modeling
Post by: Mupepe on October 08, 2007, 05:37:35 PM
so... in my spare time I'd like to pick up some stuff on 3D modeling.  I know some basics by fucking around with 3DStudio Max in high school.

But if anyone could point me to some sites (or recommend some books) on learning on my own, I'd appreciate it.  As well as directing me towards the best beginner software.

Mupepe:  Z-Brush is a sculpting utility that takes low poly models and makes them ultra high poly.  This is how you create normal maps for games.  Very nice, very hard to use.
thanks!

For training and community sign up with these guys.  A little pricey, but hey it's an investment.
