In my new place I need to run my PS3 and X360 via wifi.
Is the X360 wifi adaptor worth the 80$? Any issues?
-
Works great here

I think you can just use a normal wireless gaming adapter.

I think id rather just rokk the official XBOX360 wi-fi adaptor.
As far as routers go - I have a strong WPA2 wifi network based on the new Apple Airport extreem and Air-tunes extenders in the far corners of the flat.
-
Does it support WPA?
I fukin hated how the NDS only worked on WEP :(
-
It works fine here too. My 360 is about 50 Feet away or so from my Wireless Router. Not sure about WPA but I do remember having issues with 128bit WEP soooooo :/
-
It better work fucking perfectly for $100.
-
The Xbox 360 adapter will support WPA, but not WPA2.

Homemade crossover cable between my laptop and 360 FTW

That's what I do - my Xbox 360 leeches from my PC. ICS ftw!
-
So, if you have a wireless network in your house the 360 cant just talk to it?
-
No, its not built-in like Wii or PS3
-
Okay I'll be getting one of these then. I'd imagine a 360 fails to an extent if it isnt online.
-
ick - i dont even want to think of an x360 not being online...
Internet gaming appliance it is.
-
yeah, you just need to connect it to the internet.

this thing was decent yet expensive considering that the X360 should have wifi out of the box (especially the elite model i have)
it clips right on the back dorky looking antennae and all - but there was no set-up and it seems stable.
