yeah, I noticed that too, the spoiler (click to show/hide)
characters talk while the credits roll and none of the japanese dialogue is subtitled at all
what happens is still pretty clear, me thinks: spoiler (click to show/hide)
Chopin fights the other characters to win over his dream and fails, Polka is about to die, Chopin has a change of heart and uses his powers to let her live on, he dies in real life and continues to live in his dream world with the others, Allegretto and Polka are reunited, hug and confess their feelings, and lastly, while leaving the real world, Chopin's ghost plays one of his airs as a farewell to George Sand (I think) who was keeping him company and looking over him in his death bed
the one thing I don't understand is spoiler (click to show/hide)
the role of Polka's mother in all this
but yeah overall, this game's plot is an incoherent mess
I dunno, I thought the plot was okay except for the beginning and ending. . .which are the same part, really.

Also, what about the fortune teller lady that knew Polka would draw a bad fortune? Who the fuck was that supposed to be?
I enjoyed the game a lot, story included, but it kind of lost focus somewhere along the line, and I wasn't sure who was really supposed to be the main character. It didn't have an ensemble cast feeling; it felt like the focus rapidly shifted between several chararacters in a somewhat unfocused way.
