It's for PC and 360, I guess they're still fighting with sony to be able to charge for horse armor.

Quote
The new pack includes :

* A fully detailed castle for you to explore

* Knights of the True Horn patrol the castle and do your bidding

* Secret treasure vault

* Upgrade the furnishings in every area of the castle

* Hire a vintner to create special wines to enhance your fighting abilities

* Hire a combat trainer to spar with

* Hire a taxidermist to craft lifelike trophies for your great hall

* Purchase an ancient Dwemer Forge that buffs your Armorer skill

It's some sort of stronghold that you get after you kill the people attacking it.  In order to "restore it to it's full glory" you have to buy some of stuff from some vendor and if you're like me, you have 700,000 gold you're not going to do anything with.

I like it because it basically comes with a bunch of trainers or whatnot that you'd want in the beginning of the game.  I might start a new file because of it.

Will I be able to just start a new file and go to it, or should I go ahead and start one and try to get tons of money?

Seems about as pointless as all the other Oblivion DLC not named Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.....but at least it's free, so that's sumthin'.  I guess.

it's not pointless, it lets you do things that upgrade your important stats (and you can sleep there!)

if I start a new file, I'll put stuff I don't level up as major abilities so I don't have to lower the difficulty (although right now I have 100% chameleon so normal is easy enough...)

Did Sony end up getting any of the DLC yet?  Sony fans are always yelling "fud" whenever someone brings up the issue.

it's more bethesda's fault.  it's obvious that the "memory problem" that makes horse armor somehow impossible is bullshit so that they can argue with sony to let them charge for it.  I think sony has a problem with a bunch of unpopular DLC appearing on PSN.

So they aren't going to release the Make Oblivion A Good Game DLC?

^oh yeah, I forgot the GOTY edition.  Will they include horse armor though?  I know it's stupid but bethesda made a big deal to the press that PS3 somehow simply did not have enough ram for horse armor.

you could just hold back your enemies by making stuff like alchemy (or whatever you don't use) your main abilities since your race and birthsign are the only things that determine how strong you start out.

okay, just started it up.  the marauders are easy to fight.  once you get the castle, you go to this guy in the imperial city to buy your castle improvements which cost about 26,000 gold for the 9 areas (you can buy 1 room at a time for 2,510) of the castle.

the place is actually pretty decently sized and probably the biggest single building in the game.  Kotaku said you can tell the men to do shit for you and you can basically tell them to follow you or keep patrolling.

for taxidermy, you have to bring the taxidermist a piece of the animal (troll fat, bear pelt, etc.)

for wine, you have to bring the vintner a few ingredients.  once he makes it though, it ends up filling up a tank and you can use it as many times as you want I guess.
