I want more Steam games and it is new and shiny.  Or new and covered in wet brown shit, to be more accurate to its Doom 3 origins.

I just read their review.  It's just the text "It's Quake Wars and it's fun."  How do you argue with THAT, MAF?  HUH?

I don't have QW yet, I am waffling on getting it this week, but could not do so tonight since i had other chores to do.

The TF2 thing is one thing-I generally don't play a ton of online FPS games, and spend most of my online time in RTS games instead, so TF2 would probably fit the billl nicely.

The other BIG thing is that there is supposedly going to be a public (read: for everyone, not just fileplanet folk) beta drop of UT3 tomorrow. Given the choice of Quake Wars, TF2 you've already paid for, or UT3, even in beta form, it's hard to justify QW unless you know you're going to love it.

I will hold off.  With this much going on in the PC FPS market, I won't be surprised if we see QW sales/price drops very quickly.  If a UT3 beta is released tomorrow, QW's release will pretty much be dead in the water, salewise.  Why uh, buy the cow when you can get everclear for free?

It's probably best that you don't buy it since you're already bitching about its graphics.

I guess you'll just have to wait for the PS3 version which willl have better graphics because of the Blu-ray drive and no load times because of the bigger hard disc.

I played the demo, its like slower, uglier, more complicated TF2.

The biggest differences are: bigger/more open maps and vehicles.

I will say this, I like the XP system and how it pushes you to play your class properly. I wish TF2 had some sort of rewards system.

TF2 360 > QUAKE WARS

You see, I am not opposed to a bigger, slower, more open game.  I am not the 16 year old twitch gamer that I used to be, so that aspect of TF2 doesn't really appeal to me that much because I do not have the time to dedicate to a single game anymore.  Plus, Battlefield 2 and CoD4 (especially CoD4) have made me totally dig those experience systems in multiplayer FPSes.  After CoD4, no multiplayer-focused FPS will DARE ship without one again.

TF2 PC > TF2 360

theres so many quality games coming out, QW feels like its going to be overlooked. It's simply not needed right now :(

I was playing TF2 for a week before the quake wars beta hit steam, I gave it a chance, and played it for all of 15 mins. Its just so stale compared to TF2.
