He also said that any potential console port will feature state of the art technology circa 1998, like anti-aliasing!

and yes, MoM is better than the entire nintendo game catalogue combined

I had not heard of this.  I just saw it in GI.  I was kind of not interested in Stardock until earlier this year.  Guess I missed out on this nugget.

Brad's described the game of having the strategic layer of Master of Magic crossed with the tactical combat layer of something lke X-COM (though obviously not as deep, to keep the game moving).

Expect a beta out in 2Q 2008, which will be open to people preordering the game through Stardock's service (like they are doing for Sins of a Solar Empire).
