Buying the version that you know is worse just to have something to play on the PS3 is pretty crazy.  You should have just gotten the better and cheaper PC version.

That's surprising to hear from a PC gamer like you.  Some of the best driving games ever are on the PC.  PC is versatile enough to basically work with any genre.  Saying that racing games suck on the PC is almost as lame as saying that the PC only has RTS and FPS games.

Going back to the original issue, I also bought PS3 versions of multiplatform games several months after launch to boost my PS3 collection.  I came to my senses though when most of them had noticeably worse graphics, framerates, and crappy tacked-on six-axis controls.  Bottom line, when in doubt, get the 360 version.

I played DiRT earlier this year on my PC with a 360 pad. Worked great, better framerate, and I was able to mod down the HDR to a reasonable level and tweak the physics with some mods.

Racing games are great on the PC. You don't HAVE to have a wheel, either, unless you are going to go online and play GTR2 on a server or something. For single player pad is just fine.

Anyway so back to SEGA Rally REVO... I a picking up my PS3 copy this morning at TRU.

How are you liking it?

I also heard this has shockaxis support built in so it will rumble when we get the controller.

I got the PSP version  ;) and will be getting the 360 version sometime later on (I got PGR4 instead), mainly for custom soundtracks.  Why don't PS3 games have this feature?  ???  The PSP version is really impressive and apparently the tracks are different; I'd highly recommend it.

No, I don't think so.  If it is, it's certainly not constant.
