Title: The Baconator
Post by: The Sceneman on October 14, 2007, 06:54:04 PM
It has landed on my shores... is it worth picking up? The advertising got me, the slogan: 'You'll be back' is fucking ingenious

I was surprised how BIG it is. It's pretty good

Its good but don't be deceived by how perky it looks in ads, its pretty much one large greasy hamburger. Its delicious in a "Fuck I haven't eaten anything all day I'ma about to pass out oh shit theres a Wendy's!" kind of way.

Don't get it if your looking for a regular meal (as in will fill you up normally since you've had 2 square meals beforehand).

I still haven't had a Baconator.

Its not that big, and not even the biggest burger or the worst burger on the Wendy's menu.

Honestly I found the Baconator to be pretty tame. The Carl's Jr Breakfast club sandwich came closer to giving me a heart attack than the Baconator.

I'm too spoiled by QUIZNO'S to enjoy this crap.  When my arteries wish to clog, they will do it to a Chicken Carbonara.

I wish Red Robin would reopen here... we used to have one in the mall when I was a kid, now the only place I see Red Robins are in PA.

Mmm Red Robin has the best Mushroom Swiss burger going.  And you can get a beer with it too!

Jack in the Box has had far more offensive hamburgers in the past, and iirc Burger King has a few candidates as well.

JitB's Sirloin Burger advertised at nearly every commercial break (and quite delicious) is over 1000 calories and 60 grams of fat.  By itself.  It's basically the realization of the Subway "Let me get the Love Handles combo, bootysized" commercials.

The pictures show the Baconator with mayonnaise, does it really have Mayo? :sick

There's a Red Robin near my place too, haven't been there in a long while

Do you guys have any Blimpy Burger franchises? It may be exclusive to Michigan but damn, their burgers are enormous; I only eat there once or twice a year because the food is so greasy that you can feel your arteries clogging up. My biggest problem with Wendy's before the Baconator was that all their sandwhiches were pretty damn small compared to advertisements; Burger King is awesome cuz they allow you to customize and make your meal an actual MEAL. Quad stackers omg

It's awful, unless you like slimy limp bacon and low quality cheese product.

I only eat hamburgers from Five Guys these days.

Don't ask, but I've been going to McDonalds lately to play the Monopoly game. I'm one piece away from winning $500/free 60 GB PS3.  :D

Yeah, when I'm one piece away, that's when the repeats start flooding in like crazy. And what's more insane is that I have a million-dollar piece.  :'(

I literally will drive 5 minutes out of my way just to go to Burger King and get a Tendercrisp Sandwhich. I dont' really like anything else on the BK menu but the Tendercrisp is fucken fastfood crack for me.

I dunno how you squeeze fast food into your 600 calorie a day diet.

uh, don't you get how this works?  Boardwalk is insanely common so that they can string you along in to eating more of their shitty food.  You will never find a Park Place.  Park Place doesn't even exist

Hardee's burgers >>> Wendy's burgers. The Hardee's Six Dollar Burger is awesome, just extremely salty and for some reason it comes with sweet pickles.

The baconator was a huge let down to me. It didn't impress in size or flavor.

QFT

I posted a picture of the thing on this site when it was new.

Look at yourself, wasting time "researching" when you could simply cite the Miles Trahan Burger Experiment.  Don't let all those years of his self-sacrifice be for naught.

Pffft, unless you were wasting time doing REAL studying, but it's funnier to assume that you were researching tasty burgers.
