I know you know your shit about this stuff, generally:
What's the best way to address registry issues? I don't have anything wrong, but I'm looking for an app for general, routine maintenance. I've been using CCleaner, but I really don't know if it's the best.
Thanks :-*

System mechanic is good. But you'll have to pay or crack it.

I can tell you Ecro uses CC cleaner. When I talk to him I'll direct him to this thread if he hasn't seen it yet. :)

Thanks :) I know he's as close as they come to an expert int he whole spyware removal thing, so I figured there'd be some overlap of knowledge here.

I use ccleaner as Nikki said. I've also got Registry Mechanic on my machine, though my installation isn't exactly legal.
My biggest recommendation with ccleaner is to make sure you use the backup changes option before you actually remove stuff from the registry. I've seen some really weird stuff happen with Office after using ccleaner.
If there's anything else you're looking for, let me know.
