TVC's revelation about a 23 hour non-game romp got me thinking. My longest bout was probably 10 hours playing Baldur's Gate. I've done around 7-8 hours straight on Wolfensten ET before as well. 7-8 hours on Pokemon Blue back in the day was also pretty normal for me
-
I cant recall to be honest, recently I did play Etrian Odyssey for 8 hours in one day, which is quite a bit for a handheld game!
-
One time I was playing GTASA. I started playing 6 that night, and stopped playing at 12 pm the next day.
-
I cant do past 7-8 hours anymore.
-
what if your glass runs over (endlessly) with scotch?
-
I played TFC for like, about twelve straight hours. I wish I could do that w/ TF2.

drinking is bad.

I can't even play an hour straight anymore. :(
I think my interest in gaming is dying. :-\
anyways longest ever going was probably only up in the mid teens range.
-
I played Everquest for 24 hours once. Ugh. Why?
-
Eh, I think I played a couple games from right after school to 10 once.
-
I played Oblivion last summer for 14 hours straight.
-
I played Melee for 13 hours straight with my friends the Friday after came out.

23 might actually be my longest. When I do my overnight gaming sessions, anything goes, and I've largely stopped drinking, so that has made things shoot into the stratosphere.
I used to routinely sit down with a bottle of scotch or other booze and play until the bottle was gone. Usually 7-12 hours, depending on how voracious I was into either the drinking or playing aspect. I did many a-nights of WoW like that, in particular, since you don't have to be sober to grind. Fuck, you shouldn't be sober for grind sessions.
Let's see, I logged over 80 hours into Blue Dragon over 6 play sessions, not counting one brief 4-5 hour one. That doesn't count. At least 3 of those sessions were between 12 and 20 hours, on weekends. Eternal Sonata was like 40ish hours in the space of one full week, Over 4 or 5 sessions. That was right after BD so I was taking it easy.
Back in high school, I beat Final Fantasy 7 in 3 days, with a clock time of a lil' over 30 hours, although I don't recall specifics. And I didn't miss any school during it, either. That's not including the Gold Chocobo. I went and did that leisurely only after I had beaten the game. Same for the optional weapons.

14 hours at Final Fantasy 6. Like many who posted before me it was mostly grinding. I would listen to radio in conjunction.
-
not sure what my longest gaming spree was
basically if the game is good enough I play until my eyes start throbbing in pain which forces me to stop, then I go to sleep and I wake up in the middle of the night feeling like someone stabbed me in the fucking eyes
luckily these occasions are rare
-
when i first played chrono trigger, i played that game so much that my arm started to hurt.
-
it took me 10 hours to beat halo 2 in one sitting (less than 7 hours lol for halo 3). I haven't done a lot of marathon gaming sessions. for multiplayer (can't remember how long though) but not for singleplayer.
-
I spent seven hours playing system link Halo 2 with 5 friends today. The majority of our time was spent playing 6-player Rocketball.
-
Back in the day I spent entire weekends playing Rangarok Online, but I took breaks to sleep for a few hours and eat and stuff.
Same here, except that I ate while playing it, spent as little time as possible in the bathroom, and slept through most of my classes at school (sometimes even lunch) because I spent the whole night playing it. Once my free month was over I told myself never again. MMORPGs are the devil.
-
Probably something like 18 hours of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Fuck, that game ooooowwned.
-
I think it was 13 hours of Counter-Strike.
