According to BAFTA, some terrible UK nongamer motion-picture/television fucktard soceity, apparently so:
Strategy and Simulation:
Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars (Xbox 360)
Forza Motorsport 2 (Xbox 360)
Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms (PC)
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas (Xbox 360)
Wii Sports (Wii)- Winner
World in Conflict (PC)
Seriously, that has to be the most fucked up award I've seen since Gamespot thought that Serious Same 2 was PC GOTY a few years ago.
Read the rest of the horror here: http://www.clubskill.com/article/4652
I find it somewhat infuriating that we have more and more people with zero gaming history giving critique on video games without having any context of past landmark efforts in the business. If you're going to start passing out awards for things, you should at least ensure that the candidates, much less the winners, actually qualify for the categories they are in. This award here is like giving Transformers an award for "Best Romance Comedy".

Hahahahahhahahahahahahahahha

BAFTA awards are bought. I really wouldn't worry about them too much.
-
wow
that's wrong.

I guess their genre definitions are fucked, I would call Forza a driving/racing game

Yeah, and isn't Rainbow 6 Vegas a 3rd person shooter?
-
and Wii sports is hardly a simulation, its barely even a sports game. I would call it a party game

Yeah I don't get what Vegas is doing there at all, though in contrast to Wii Sports its placement it doesn't look nearly as out of place.
