Title: Battlestar Galactica made me say WOW.

I watched the pilot, which I guess was like two movies or something.  Awesome!  I used to be moderately entertained by the original, but it was pretty horribly campy.  This new version is friggin' awesome.  Is the rest of the series this good?

I could never get past the miniseries, which I've been told I need to watch in order to watch the rest of the series.

Welcome my Cylon brother for you have seen the pathway to enlightenment. BSG is one of the best series to ever grace TV in eon's I love it to death. You should now watch season one and season 2 respectfully it should take you a week or two to catch up but it will be worth it. Season one is strong, Season 2 stronger, and 3 thus far is amazing.

Fuck my relationship with BSG has been on and off since its start. Damn those mid season breaks they are nightmares.

Tigh's wife i think is gonna fuck it up for everyone. I hope she dies, even if she's a damn good lay to the cylons. Lets see that Cylon try to Quantum leap to death  :P

I didn't like 33 as much as most folks, and it really took Season 2 to sell me hardcore on the series.

I NEVER said 5 was the best.  My order is:

2 > 6 > 5 > 3 = 1 > 4

I used to have 4 ahead of 3 and 1 but I've since changed my stance.  4 is pure shit.

I used to think 2 was good, but then I just realized everyone says 2 is the best just cause you get the least amount of flak for it.

The dumb spok death and big boobed kahn were lame. Lets hear it for Star Trek 6! Lots of crap blowing up and way too many shakespeare quotes!

Y'know, I'm not really, but I'll never be able to break that label now due to CrystalGemini.  Boomer is such a cutie, though.  The blonde Cylon bitch is a little too predatory for my tastes (and she looks like she's got fake boobs).  Starbuck is hot in a kind of, "Wow, she could kick my ass" kind of way.  Boomer takes the cake, though.

This show had a frackin' awesome season finale.  Can't wait to get my hands on Season 2.  Here's hoping the quality doesn't take a nosedive.

I refuse to see anything Joss Whedon is involved in out of principle alone.  The last Whedon mess I witnessed was Alien: Resurrection and that's probably how I'll keep it.

I've seen the first three episodes of Firefly (they're showing them in the DVD order) on Universal HD the past few weeks and it's pretty good, but it's no BSG. It's a fun show and all, but BSG is just epic stuff.

Agreed. I love Firefly but it is simple souless space opera fun. BSG is epic awesomeness.

Firefly isnt supposed to be epic you dumb. Its about the cast, if you watch all the episodes you will realize it is probably the best ensemble cast ever created.

If the show was revived with a different case it wouldnt even be 2% as good as the original. The actors in Firefly are amazing in their roles.

I am going to remake Firefly in 20 years with all new cast and have it set under water, like SeaQuest.  I'll also have two roles filled by the Olsen twins.

I never said Firefly wasn't awesome. BSG is just more awesomer. Serenity is not as good as Firefly though. :(

Serenity can be called a space opera, but the television show was not. I liked the movie, not as good maybe, but it was a good movie nontheless.

I have trouble following battlestar sometimes because its very political, which is neat, but im not a fan of politics anyway so giant power struggles that errupt when someone says 'I dont agree' on the show and the stare downs are lame I just want some fisticuffs there's some but not enough but the women are hot so ill watch it rite lol :D

I think a lot of people like BSG for the same reason everyone suddenly likes Song of Ice and Fire type novels where everyone loses and we all grin as we sip our soft drinks. The shows are epic train wrecks with moments of heroic brilliance squashed by more bad news. EVERYTHING IS SO BAD IN SPACE ITS HARD IN SPACE!

Firefly had those moments but they had a LITTLE fun :(
