I came in late to the Genesis generation (we had a SNES in our house), and I was always so jealous of my friends who owned "the mature" console.

OMG OMG OMG FLASHBACK

I remember an issue of Gamepro came with a shitty Flashback comic book but it got me SO excited for the game.

VECTOR MAN!!!!! :bow :bow

I mean, wow, people talk about Donkey Kong Country, but Vector Man looked just as good and played BETTER.

And the Genesis X-Men game was BETTER than the SNES one...it even had this awesome gimmick at the end where you had to reset the console to be able to finish the game (which made it unfinishable on the Nomad, which had no reset button)!!!!

You don't need a Sega CD.  I think Sega CD emulation has been perfected, so all you need to do are get the game CDs (they can probably be found on eBay) and you can play them on your PC.

EDIT: FUCK I FORGOT SONIC CD
ONE OF THE BEST SONIC GAMES EVER

Why are you jizzing over Heart of the Alien?

Quick fact sheet:

a) Out of this World sucked
b) Heart of the Alien was worse
c) Heart of Darkness is better

I never played Heart of the Alien or Heart of Darkness.  Until a few moments ago, I didn't even know Heart of the Alien existed.

I never owned a Genesis or it's attachments.

Yes, I realize I made a mistake. But for some reason while I was growing up my dad was an ignorant N-tard (read tech magazines and decided to buy me an SNES)

That's okay. SNES had CHRONO TRIGGER.

Genesis was the fucking KING.  Such a great game machine....and the Sega CD had some truly amazing titles, even if on the whole it didn't take off like Sega hoped.
