Title: Happy Birthday PS2: North American PS2 7 years old.
Post by: Rman on October 26, 2007, 12:26:29 PM
Today marks the 7th anniversary of the North American PS2 launch.  Many gamers consider this their favorite console.  The system totally dominated its generation, ushered in Ebay scalping, and launched with a lackluster library. Its unlikely that its successor will be as successful.  I was a college sophomore when it launched and I did not pick up a system until 2004.

My favorites on the system: (Not ranked)

MGS2/3
FFX
Shadow of the Colossus
ICO
Rez
DQVIII
Third Strike
Katamari Damacy

I agree with billy rygar, on both points. All the jerking off over brawl is getting ridiculous.

Also the OP fails for not including Super Smash Bros. Brawl on his list, which is the digital equivalent of a rim job.
FIXED.

Why the fuck would anyone include Super Smash Brothers Brawl, a game on the Wii that hasn't even been released yet, on a list of ps2 games?  This is just lazy, unfocused, GAF style trolling.

I'm sorry RMan.  If you run across a copy buy it and have more fun than Nintendo fans have had collectively in the past ten years.
SSBB awesomeness surpasses all. the fact you can have mario and sonic duke it out is amazing.

Half-Life on PS2 has the smoothest controls for any console FPS I've ever played, including Halo.

I enjoyed my psone more. But that's back when I had friends, smoked weed and sat around and played games all day. I think that has more to do with it.
