Title: What's the deal with Gilmore Girls?

I used to have an ex, that basically told me I was dead to her when the show was on. What's the deal with this fucking show.

...that's the part I can't get over. WTF is with the speed-talking? It sounds completely unnatural. No one actually talks that way. I keep picturing the dialogue as one long paragraph.
