was u of M hard to get into? On the some information website I was on last night is said they only admitted %10 of people applying. Pd you had god grades in highschool right? what about you cheebs?I don't go to U of M. I had the grades for it but they said transfer students rarely get in unless they are juniors and I had to wait till then so I went to Emich. I'll get my masters at U of M though.

Decided against it for various reasons. Besides, I'm not sure how it's set up in Canada, but here in the States you can major in anything you like in undergrad, since medical school is postgrad (i.e., a professional school). Certain majors help your chances of getting in for various reasons, but nothing is mandated.
IMO nowadays(depending in which state too) you cannot do shit with a bachelors anymore unless its a 5 year program like arch. or engies. or again nursing. At least this is pretty much how it works in Cali., aside from the growing competition real estate prices are incredibly high which really inhibits anybody on a BS-type salary to start a life. Medical school in canadia typically works as an undergrad bachelors degree program that you enroll in after 2 years of college, it takes 5 years. But say some canadian unis like mcgill do accomodate our medical school progression (i.e 4 years + bachelorz) but then you get to pay american fees so meh. With just a bachelors no. But that's where experience comes in. If you have a Bachelors and lots of experience you can do pretty well. As opposed to a masters and no experience.

This means getting a Ph.D which means a hell of a lot of school and money, and about a 2% chance of it ever working, which is a 98% chance of me just waisting all that time and money only to shot myself for being a failure.:lol This is about how I feel right now.spoiler (click to show/hide)Edit: yes I misspelled write to amplify what Drinky would be laughing at[close]

Would it be possible to get graduate degrees in General Studies?I know that was a rhetorical question, but I would love to pursue such a masters degree. Though I would probably 'fail' the admissions test.
I'm hoping to become a dilettante.
