In case anyone is curious how the primaries are shaping up today and want to learn about the election OTHER than ron paul shit.
Here is how each of the first 3 primaries line up right now:
Republicans:
* Iowa: Romney 27%, Huckabee 19%, Giuliani 16%, McCain 14%
* New Hampshire: Romney 30%, Giuliani 23%, McCain 17%
* South Carolina: Romney 29%, Giuliani 23%, McCain 13%, Thompson 10%
Democrats:
* Iowa: Clinton 32%, Obama 22%, Edwards 15%
* New Hampshire: Clinton 40%, Obama 22%, Edwards 10%
* South Carolina: Clinton 41%, Obama 19%, Edwards 18%

Wow, since when was Romney doing better than Giuliani?
-
For quite some time now. It's pretty shocking how well he has been able to get a lead in all the early states.
-
He's been doing better than him for awhile. Rudy is leading in national polls because he's perceived as the front runner. Once the primaries occur I expect his candidacy to lose relevancy
Also I still think Edwards has a chance to take Iowa, and possibly start a domino effect in the other primaries in his favor
-
Edwards is in freefall. He was #1 in Iowa this summer.
-
Fuck!
Hillary will not win both Iowa and NH, write it down :'(

Kerry did!

Isn't there any presidential candidate that didn't vote for war with Iraq, will never go to war with Iran and wants to bring our troops home immediately?
-
Hillary will win EVERY SINGLE primary. Book it.
Also, wtf @ Romney steamrolling people now. Whenever I see him I just get this creepy used car salesman vibe off him, and I just expect him to ask at some point "So what's it going to cost to get you in this car?"

Hillary Vs. Rudy
Turd Sandwhich Vs. Douche bag
Same thing. :maf
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

yeah he's creepy and that he's doing this well really surprises me. :o

Looks like a Romney and Clinton election. I don't think Romney has a chance with how pro-war he is but somehow I doubt anybody will like either of the candidates.

The state of Election is that it rocks.

two really good gangster films about power struggles within the Hong Kong organized crime circles. Lots of badasses being rather badass, and a general sense of cruelity and bleak irony. Come and watch two of the better crime dramas made in recent years, watch Election TODAY!

The fundies are all falling in behind Huckabee, apparently. It's sort of their last chance at retaining relevancy as a voting block in the GOP this cycle, and while I'm not suprised to see him doing well in a place like Iowa why the heck is he not getting any movement in South Carolina yet is boggling.
Oh, and :( for Edwards. He's not even ahead here in NC anymore. :( :(

I'm not much for the horse-race stuff, but I'm surprised we haven't heard more "Huckabee-for-VP" talk. Seems like he won't win the nomination, but he'd be perfect for staving off a third-party evangelical movement.
If he didn't spearhead that movement himself, anyway.
