Title: Why isn't TF2 cross-platform multiplay?

it would be pretty stupid if you have to connect your 360 to your PC to play online.

Because we don't want to make console only gamers feel bad about themselves.

Cosigned. I like FPS games, but I'm more used to the mouse/keyboard setup, IMHO.

Probably ties into maps/mods issues that either Valve or MS doesn't want to deal with right now.  That hasn't been done before.

30fps on the console vs 60fps on the pc isn't fair anyways.  Unless you give the console gamers a ton of aiming assitance, which wouldn't make much sense either.
