... in comic book form!
It will be a limited six issue run based on the actual film treatment that never went through because Sam Raimi is a big jerk!

I'm sure Bruce would have no problem hitting the gym if he was getting a nice paycheck. And he would've! There's a whole interview with the guy whose treatment this is based on, Jeff Katz, who said everybody was on board... including Bruce and Rob Tappert. It was Sam Raimi that foiled the whole thing, even though everyone was excited and ready to go. New Line was even willing to finance Evil Dead 4!
Raimi locked up the rights with his production company, though and is apparently asking for numbers so astronomical that this will never happen.
But - hey! - at least we have the comic book!

it almost sounds like you're speaking ill of Sam Raimi, director of the Spider hyphen Man franchise! :wag

I've jumped off the Sam Raimi bandwagon since Spider-Man 2. It's plainly evident, from comments by long-term friends like Danny Elfman to his actual creative output, that the guy is not the same guy. He's not hungry anymore and all he cares about is numbers. I can't see how someone that would've jumped at the opportunity to make something as ridiculously stupid and awesome as Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash back in his heyday, would kill the idea completely due to irrational financial demands.
He is one of my favorite directors, but I can't really say I'm excited to see what he does next or that I'd like to meet him in real-life. I kind of fought the notion when Elfman called him a "pod person" during Spider-Man 2, but he's not the same guy anymore.

More Burn Notice, hopefully.

I think Spidey 3 showed the old Raimi. He went totally against what peoples expectations and wants were out of a super hero film. The saturday night fever and crazy james franco stuff was totally weird obscure Sam Raimi.

that totally makes sense. Freddy vs. Jason is like the highest grossing non-Saw horror film in years, I was just thinking why the heck New Line hasn't follwed it up with ANYTHING?
I got to thinking about that because I saw Severence last night (not bad at all) and one of the bad guys was a dead ringer for Robert Englund.

They got the chin part down. :lol

Was the crossover between Evil Dead and Marvel Zombies any good? Ash fighting against zombiefied Marvel superheroes sounds awesome in concept.
