Title: What are the speeds you guys get from Steam downloading things?

Same as Candyflip pretty much.  600 regularly, 300-400 when there is a big release.

Haha, whiners. Im on capped DSL...but not real DSL, more like DSL to two T1s that are shared between all the apartments. Its a GOOD day when I get 170k downstream.

On the plus side I have a pretty good ping in online games.

How do you like DSL? I'm switching to it from Cable and according to what I've read not only will I have a much faster connection but all the other people in my apt complex won't keep slowing me down.

I think it depends on your area.  I switched to DSL once because it was cheaper than cable.  However, even the fastest DSL plan was slow as hell so I had to go back to cable.

I dont download much of anything so I dont care about the cap. I get great pings.
