Probably not. There aren't that many HD adopters yet, plus this isn't even advertised. I found lots of stuff at CC's Buy 1 Get 1 sale two weeks ago.
-
the fatwallet freakshow will be there an hour early, unwashed and in sweatsuits, ready to buy these things up, send off for the free hd-dvds, and sell everything on ebay. Wal-Mart apparently has found a way to make its clientele even more unappealing.
-
God I hate fatwallet freaks. They used to plague Staples
-
What did they buy at Staples?
-
Mostly staples.
-
Well the 'n00b' FatWallets would chase around obscure clearance items.
-
WTF wants to buy stationery off Ebay?
-
lol fatwallet had sweet Staples sales
I used to be all over those :-*
I may swing by at lunch and see if I can grab Clerks 2 and The Last Samurai.
-
wtf is a fatwallet

Actually, don't. My experience with Wal-Marts and HD material is a sad one.
Most Wal-Marts don't have these titles in stock. First of all, the saddest story is that the biggest selection of HD movies in a Wal-Mart I've seen so far has been at my hometown location in London, KY. Since I detest this Wal-Mart, you can only imagine the horrible selection that is there. There is only one small case, split down the middle between Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs.
Most Wal-Marts only have maybe two or three Blu-Ray movies (the most popular releases), and you are lucky to find an HD-DVD. The Richmond Wal-Mart, which is a pretty big location, does this, as well as the Berea Wal-Mart, a smaller supercenter store.
Good luck finding these titles to purchase, that's all I'm saying.
-
There's plenty of them in the Mt. Sterling Wal-Mart.

Well, if I ever drive that way I might just swing in and take a look. Until then, I'm going to order them off of Amazon.
-
my wal mart is usually pretty good about stocking hd dvd's. they usually have about 15 or so hd dvd's and 10 or so blu ray. usually there's only like 1 or 2 copies per title though
-
All they had that I wanted was Big Lebowski, so I got that. I wanted Unforgiven, but no luck.

I'll be getting Clerks 2 if Best Buy has it when I go to pick up my Big Lebowski

You bet! DON'T SPIT SEEDS ON THE FLOOR
I hope i can get $125 for my 360 HD DVD player
I bought one of those $99 deals so I wouldn't have to turn on my furnace 360 just to play movies
-
I'm from da souf. I'll carry a cup for seeds.
also, i doubt you'll get $125 anytime soon because of the Best Buy sales on the 360 drive and the sale on A2's
-
I made sure to include the rebate receipt and mail-in form, though

oh nice anyone else doing that on ebay?
-
Yeah, for the new ones, but they're trying to get $150 + out of those, with crazy shipping amounts of $15 or more
I priced mine at $125 with $10 shipping
-
oh so we're going to watch the big lebowski and clerks 2 right? :)
-
My walmart didn't have ANY HD movie media, HD DVD or Blu Ray. Wtf

Don't feel bad. The Berea Wal-Mart only got them recently, and like I said, it was only like two or three new released Blu-Rays. And I literally mean two or three, not two or three titles. TWO OR THREE UNITS.
-
I guy I work with tried picking up a player at the local Wal-mart this morning, but some "winner" bought ten of them, leaving two left for everyone, apparently. By the time he got near the display, they were long gone. He did pick up a 40GB PS3, though (already has a 360).
-
oh yeah. i forgot to go buy a hd-dvd player. whatever, they'll probably start giving them away in happy meals before the end of the year
-

I'd pick one up for $99 if they weren't discontinued. I'm sure this won't be the last time one can be had for under $100.
Even though I'd still be pro Blu-ray, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Knocked Up and Transformers would be nice to have in an HD format.
