Today is a pretty slow day for me at work, and then I got to wondering what the hell did people do in offices before the widespread adoptions of PCs when they were bored? I usually go to forums, read the news, visit blogs.
But I as look around my office I see some co-workers watching Youtube clips, some playing casual games like hexic and crap, another actually plays SNES RPGs in an emulator during his slow days ate work, and others emailing friends or visiting Facebook or MySpace. Imagine the absolutely boredom you would face during slow days without having access to an internet enabled PC?

Go to the bathroom and kinda just sit there and stroke my cock

I'm pretty sure it's where the term "water cooler talk" began.

There only so much I could talk about, Adam. I guess I'm more introverted in nature.

Where do you work? I always hear about these wonderful jobs in offices where people spend 75% of their time browsing forums. It would be like getting paid to be at home.

It's not that laid back. But there are slow days in all office jobs. I work for client services and training for a small software company.

Please share some of your awesome "this customer is distinguished mentally-challenged" story's.

Well here are some tidbits.
Most customer's don't know what a ''browser'' is.
IE is the only ''browser'' they use. Not IE 7, but IE 6 mind you. Default browser or bust.
Attaching files to email is apparently some sort of mythical skill.
Some people still use Wordperfect, Compuserve, and AOL.
Installing new software on your computer will ''mess up'' your computer according to some.
Most save everything by default in their My Documents folder, and later they cannot find it without any assistance.
I prefer doing more intensive trainings which usually is more sales related than anything.
