What the fuck is with this game?  Naruto can use his Sexy Jutsu to TURN INTO A SEXY WOMAN and make broken hearted men happy again. 

So we have this like 10 year old little boy that turns into a succulent bikin clad woman, and gives men boners?  Well, at leas this is a different sort of pedophilia than the type most Japanese people subscribe to.

I've only seen part of the first series of Ranma, but I liked it a lot, actually.  Despite it being old, and thus having a lot of cliches (cliches that it may have originated), it still managed to be really entertaining, probably because it didn't feel as manufactured as so much animu from the past 10 years or so.  I would say my enjoyment of it was similar to Slayers, which is also cliched by todays standards, but still a ton of fun.

Also, I just got my sexy jutsu to level 2, and now when I do it, there are THREE sexy Narutos, so he is doing the harem thing.

Ranma is awesome, but the anime series is kind of so-so.  The first season and a bit of the beginning of the second season is good, and then it diverges from the manga in quality and characters and goes all low-budget.  The two movies and all the OVAs are also worth watching, but the manga is where it's at.

I used to be absolutely fucking NUTS for Ranma.  I bought every single comic, calender, poster, shirt, VHS tape, etc. that Viz put out back in the early-mid nineties.

My feelings on Slayers are that it's "meh," but I've only seen the dub.

Also, Gundam is rife with stock footage. I liked 08th MS Team cause it was short enough for them to not worry about budget and recycle action footage.

I have excellent taste in animu as long as it features mecha.  Non-mecha animu, I have really weird tastes on...for example, I'm not a fan of Slayers, but I really like Rune Soldier, which is stylistically very similar.  I don't like Ranma, but I do like Maison Ikkoku, which is just as repetitive.

The budget for the anime series clearly went way, way down.  Plus they added dumb original characters like Kuno's "ninja" butler.  The comics are always fun to read and there were some really WACKY storylines.  It's not so repetitive, really, other than the whole trying to find a cure for the curse stuff that pops up, but how everything happens is always different.  Once all the characters in Ranma were established, Takahashi went NUTS with the storylines.  Urusei Yatsura is just as wacky.  Maison Ikkoku not so much, but it was still great.  I even liked One-Pound Gospel.

What happened to Rumiko Takahashi?  I loved like everything she put out, and then along came Inu-Yasha.  :-\

Slayers > Gundam, cause Lina could take down a bunch of Gundams in one shot.

Also, Gundam is rife with stock footage. I liked 08th MS Team cause it was short enough for them to not worry about budget and recycle action footage.

Slayers rocked, but I only saw the first season and half of the second.  Liked the movies and OVAs too.

With Gundam, I liked Stardust Memory.  Actually never SAW it, but read the anime cel comics that Viz put out of it.  But for the most part I've never really taken to Gundam.  I don't generally watch mecha stuff, but I liked Gurren Lagann and of course Godanner, cuz it had mechas with titties to go along with the pilots with titties.  YUK YUK

If she piloted a gundam it would cast dragon slave, there was an ova where she was stuck in a golem that looked like her haha. Course she couldn't dragon slave from inside of it cause of the nature of its construction. Gundam could make it possible!

Gundam, the ORIGINAL Gundam series, was kind of original.  Sort of.  But it was predated by a bunch of other shit.  It's extremely INFLUENTIAL, yes, but we're not talking about that.  Ranma had all this weird stuff in it that hasn't been copied since, and Rumiko Takahashi is easily up there with the likes of Akira Toriyama as a modern manga fuckin' superstar.

Yeah, that Valis.  Telnet, who just went under, actually released a pretty decent remake of the original game on cell phones a couple of years ago.  You can probably still get it.  Then they went and licensed it to HENTAI COMPANIES who made hentai games out of the series.  :'(  The comic is a bit on the perverted side with some nudity, but that's to be expected.  It's Japan after all LOLZ LOLZ

Holy shit, me too! I never got into Gundam, including the ever so popular Gundam Wing. But 8th MS was fucking great. In part due to it being shorter I guess. I dunno, something really nice about it.

It's really not a bad game.  It's got a good mix of gameplay.  You can do the missions if you want to, or do the collectathon crap, or fight people around town, or do town missions, which range from delivering ramen, crazy taxi style, to running races, to playing hide and seek, sexying up the populace to win approval.  It's actually a good amount of variety, and now, about 5 hours in, they dole out the new abilities at frequent enough intervals to keep Leaf Village interesting, Metroid style.  Getting the double jump opens up the rooftops.  Getting the ability to run up walls opens up the tallest buildings in town.  And as you get those new abilities, they are incorporated into all the other town missions.

My only real complaint (aside from the apparent shortness of the story) is that the fighting engine is simple enough that I doubt anything will ever be that difficult, unless future enemies have extremely cheesy jutsus (and I am sure they will).  But still, the game is liberal with retries, so you can find the way around the cheese.  And it's not like your jutsus aren't cheesy.  If you're a hardcore fighting game fan, I'm almost certain you would find the engine too simple, with too few moves. 

This is quality, though, almost around the board.  Not being a Naruto fan means that the story is new to me, and even if it is Totally Animu, its omissions are probably less offensive to me than they are to the hardcore Naruto fans who are bitching about so and so being cut out and all.

It's a nice little take on the sandbox game.  Not sure if I would recommend it for 60 beans, but once it drops once or twice, it'll be a worthwhile diversion for all.
