Not even the uber-machines are running Crysis that well
-

-
If youre buying the Wii just for Mario, dont do it
-
You could always just sell the Wii and SMG after you finish it.
EDIT: I want a Wii just to play SMG. :'(

Nope and Nope
Never was a Resident Evil person and I played Smash Bros. once but it left such a small impression on me that I think its memory has been replaced with me scratching my balls on Saturday 2 years ago.
Well, there is that new Fire Emblem game.
:-\
I want that too, I totally forgot about it. Whyyyyy

:bow this, you'll get a lot more out of a PC then you ever will with a Wii.
-
Keep saving your money. You seem as if you don't know what to do. Just wait and buy something even better.

Agreed. It sounds like the cash is just burning a hole in your pocket and you wanna get rid of it. Don't...something awesome will come down the line and then you'll be able to afford it. :D
-
Don't spend money unless you're absolutely sure you want it.
-
don't get a wii, it's the shittiest purchase i've ever made in the past years.
-
Buy the 8800GT in two weeks when the price falls to between $200 and $250. Rent a wii with a copy of SMG when the demand isn't so hot.
-
8800GT. don't buy a wii.
-
How's the rest of your system, Blue? It'll be pointless to upgrade a videocard if performance is being held back by CPU/RAM. If your current PC is decent, then obviously the 8800 GT is a better choice since the number of good PC games exponentially larger than the WII's. Who cares if Crysis can't run well on it? My pc's top of the line, and it can't even run Crysis at higher than 30fps. It might be some time before hardware will come alone that can handle Crysis. Just skip Crysis and play the 99% of PC games that run well on a 8800GT.
-
Yeah I wouldnt benchmark by Crysis. I havent even bothered to check the games out ive heard so many performance stories
-
yeah, crysis looks bog-generic from a gameplay perspective. it'll be useful next year as a benchmarking app and little else -- kinda like the original farcry!
-
Crysis is clearly rushed. As good as the graphics are, they're not so revolutionary as to justify the poor performance. It's a shame because the combination of great visuals and interesting superpowers could have made Crysis one of the best FPS this year.
-
i do not trust the makers of IMMA SHOOT YOU IN THE FACE CRY to make a good fps
-
Even if you're just talking about technical aspects, Far Cry ages terribly. While the humands and enviroments still look decent, the enemies are horrendous. Also, there're still some rather annoying stutters at random moments. I don't think Far Cry would have been remembered so fondly if it hadn't been released before other pretty games like Doom 3 and Half-life 2.
-
Just buy some 360 games.

I have 1.5 Gigs of RAM and a AMD64 1.8GHz (Single Core Venice). I can see that my CPU is lagging way behind but I don't want to build out a whole new rig just yet. If I can get any performence gains from just a new Vid card then that will be good (mainly for Titan Quest). Then I'll build around the card itself.
