:o so awesome, rolling a new character with warfare and nature masteries
-
Titan Quest rocks, just dont go summoner like I did last time. Defense/Psi whatever combo was pretty nuts tho.
-
yeah, i'm going nature SOLELY for the healing auras and spells. summoning is so broken -- and not in a good way -- it hurts. :'(
-
yeah I just cant get the damage on my dumb monsters to scale by the time im in asia
-
Titan Quest is still on my HD but I've only played a little. I didn't want to get sucked into such a time consuming game.
TQ had great graphics but does The Witcher look even better? I'm still stunned by how good the Witcher looks from screenshots. Somehow The Witcher looks much better than NWN2 despite using an older version of Bioware's engine.
-
Witcher looks good but I still have to dial to back a bit. The games default settings are silly.
-
it does and it doesn't. tq is so tightly scoped and polished that it compensates for its dx8-era tech -- it's just gorgeous. the witcher is more ambitious from a technical perspective, but you can also spot the glitches and flaws more due to its more dynamic camera.
-
haha, yeah, the witcher defaults to 16x AA and 8X aniso -- W T F
-
The loading is also probably the longest in recent memory. I hope they address it cause its really the only big FROWN I have for the game.
-
yes! the witcher's load times are ARGH, even on my supersuperfast raid 0 10k hd config.
-
How much extra performance does raid have over a single HD? I have a 150gb WD 10k Raptor but it really doesn't feel that much faster than a typical 7,200 sata drive. I consider the Raptor a pretty poor purchase since it's not that much faster and at $220, the gb/dollar ratio is terrible.

rolling a BRIGAND (hunting+rogue), gonna rock
I really want to see what Ironlore does with that Dawn of War expansion pack.
-
realistically? it's about 1.5x or 1.6x or so the speed of a single disk config. raid 0 has the data striped across both drives (one drive has one "stripe" of data, the other drive has another, alternating) so writes are an infitesimal length slower, but reads are theoretically twice as fast. due to bus contention strategies, it's closer to 1.5x as fast.
-
my last character was Dreamkiller (Dream/Rogue)
this time I'm gonna go Warfare + something. leaning towards Storm or Spirit, any suggestions between those two?
EDIT: I just discovered that my epic bank alt didn't survive the move to Vista ;________________;
