Title: VF5 - Keep your PS3 version for single play
Post by: MrAngryFace on November 07, 2007, 01:27:56 AM
Im sorry but for casual players the difficulty of quest mode is totally borked now. Normal is FAR too easy, and Hard shuts me down with '5th kyu' opponents. Yeah sure seems like a 9th Dan to me you jagoffs. Im not even that bad an Eileen player :(

Not to mention the d-pad keeps registering upper right instead of right which puts Eileen in her most vulnerable stance.

This kinda kills the 360 version for me. Online play is as expected, quest mode is now broken with these difficulty levels, and well, bleh.

Looks good at least :(

Get a joystick.  Drohne vouches for it.  There's a PS2 adapter but I don't think you want to pay $60 just for an adapter.

Im more upset about quest mode, the difficulty crap was a BAD idea, especially cause the difference is so vast. Hard CAN be hard if there is at least ONE arcade I can maintain a foothold in :P

Fighting games for single player L-O-L.  Multiplayer is what they're made for and online is where it's at!  YEAH!!

I'm very much a VF casual, but once I get the 360 version, I'm done with the PS3 version.  Why?  360 is version C.  More moves, tweaks, and for TEH SINGLE PLAYAZ, more items and crap to get.  I'll take the updated and better version over the earlier model.

It still sucks that Sega won't at least release a version C patch for the PS3 version, even without online.  That's just dumb.

No, ive just dealt with endless options of fighting Kage or Lei Fei. All of which who play joust with me instead of stand and fight. Drinky plays a MUCH better Lei Fei than all these dorks.

Most of the people here are online performance apologists anyway.

What if you don't have any friends? And I guarantee 95% of the people here don't have friends that would seriously be willing to play fighting games seriously where you can beat them more than once and not give up.

I think it would probably be worth it at this point to get the adapter, especially now with all these fighters coming out. I've bought so many 2d games and fighters for the 360 only to have my play sessions with them turn to crap with the 360 d-pad (and the Mad Catz pad isn't much better). I might as well get something to make sure my games aren't hampered by a faulty d-pad.

I loved the PS3 version, however, I'm still getting the 360 version for online and extra items and such.

But I will keep PS3 since I have a Conqueror rank Pai with tons of items.

Im keeping the X360 version so I can take my character to Drinky's. A real flaw with the ps3 version :(

Yeah, I agree, MAF.

I wish you could at least upload your character data to some central server and retrieve that data at any PS3 for the PS3 version at least.

PSN is one year old and it's still missing in-game XMB access.  But, hey, it's free, right.

Oh man, despite Hard Quest Jerky being a complete ass I beat him out and got 1st Dan finally. This is going to be a tough climb in Hard :(
