Called "Phase," works with your music library. $5; I will DL it and report back.

impressions:

+ simple, but fun
+ patterns seem reasonably synched with the music
+ if you like Harmonix house bands, you get like 7 tracks with the game

/ button tapping is good, but wheel tracking is difficult cause the iPod wheel kinda sucks

- you have to create a "Phase Playlist" which is BULLSHIT, I should be able to just pick fucking songs from my library. HELLO YOUR GAME IS ON AN IPOD.

overall, if you like procedural music games like Vib Ribbon you could do a lot worse for $5. That minus is kind of stupid, though.

Does the game have a list of credits?

This asshole kid I know at school had this idea a couple years ago and actually pitched it to a bunch of places. AFAIK no one agreed to make it because he wanted way too much to do it.

What I would like to know is if the game uses the same sequence for every song you use with it, or does it make it random?

procedural, son. generated. for each song. like Vib Ribbon. my impressions have like 7 contextual clues that answer your question!

Well the people on iLounge are saying it gets repetitive so I just thought I'd ask a GAMER.  ::)

it does get repetitive, only 3 buttons + wheel tracking = not much to do. vib ribbon at least offered combos. WITHER MULTITOUCH

I just can't believe they haven't made Tempest - or at least a clone - for the iPod.
