So , the 140 page spawning "Firmware 2.0" details are out ...
STILL no XMB integration which was, apparently, demo'ed ages ago and was "just around the corner" for the last 9 months or so
STILL no custom sound tracks
BUT FEAR NOT!!!
because now i can customise the XMB with pictures of Kaz and little splooge marks as icons... or something.
Maybe that's harsh - perhaps that's what PS3 fans want as that's what they are sitting looking at whilst waiting for some games to come out/folding/pretending flow isn't gash/etc...
Sony should quit with the PSN thing and go and become professional limbo dancers or something. They'd obviously do well as everything seems to be going over their friggen heads.
Perhaps the PS3 really can't handle ingame XMB ? :O

Well the PS3 XMB is using about 83mb of ram iirc, i think they need to reduce it further if they want in game XMB stuff.

I'm posting this from my PS3. Can your 3-shitty do this? At least, PS3 owners don't have to see a bunch of ads everytime the system is turned on.

I remember posting from my wii. didn't turn it on for a week afterwards.
wii <3. seriously tho.

Yeah, the 2.0 firmware is a bomb. For all the shit 360 gets about taking their time with updates, at least they usually have a compelling feature or something.
In the weeks leading up to this, rampant speculation had me kind of convinced that Sony had indicated big things with this, but alas. .. snore.

The Wii has a much more compelling online component than the PS3
