I am in the underground river and when i go on to the next area, it freezes right when i step into the door. I checked out my disc and it seems my 360 has scratched my disc like none other. There are circles all around the outer part of my fucking disc!
DAMMIT FUCK YOU MS AND YOUR SHITTY HARDWARE
-
which disc drive did you get stuck with?
-
I have the 360 with hdmi and disc drive whatever
-
lol, owned
-
Shut up scenester, it will happen to you someday
-
Is scenester even IN the cool peoples club? lol
-
my first 360 rrod'ed straight out of the box, so I know where youre coming from.
-
mod your 360's dvd drive and play Blue Dragon on a DVD+R DL backup; random scratched disc woes don't matter with this medium
do you want me to send it all to you? I won't ever use the 3 discs anymore
-
um no i'm fine as long as it doesn't scratch up my other games and i can finish my goddamn game
-
I didn't think there were many issues with the BenQ/Philips drive scratching discs, which is what most (all?) of the zephyr/falcon models are loaded with. That was a notable problem with the Hitachi drives. You may want to call tech support and see what their policy is concerning scratched discs.
-
Well my roommate was looking at my 360 and moved it a bit when i was playing today because we wanted to see when the manufacture date was
maybe it scratched it because of that
-
:violin
-
You didn't move the console while it was on with a disc playing now, did you?
-
my roommate did and it was just a tiny move too. all he did was move like 2 inches
-
well theres a sticker on the drive when you buy a 360 saying DONT MOVE CONSOLE WHILE A DISC IS INSIDE. You may be able to blame your roommate and he can buy a you a new copy :o
-
Yeah he owes me for this
-
he owns you, alright. sucker :violin
-
the funny thing is that the game play perfectly except when i go to the next area
-
WOOT i got to the next area.

Not putting HD-DVD-ROM drives by default in every 360 is this generation's biggest mistake by far. It would've possibly turned the tides of the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD war, would have allowed for a silent system instead of the fucking annoying hair dryer whining that comes with every 360 gameplay session, and there wouldn't be so many problems with discs scratched because the dual-layer DVD disc is constantly spinning at 12x for no reason.
It's so anti-ergonomic, I can't believe that the FCC approved it and let them get away with this. I hope that Microsoft ends up getting sued to hell and back for this shit. These sorts of lawsuits are already coming in Europe in the case of scratched discs at least, but hopefully it's the tip of the iceberg.

mondain it works give it up

hey, what if HD-DVD loses the war, while it's in Xbox 360? guess what..
Microsoft is going to stop Xbox 360 Production, and gamers will get fucked.
what if Blu-ray loses this war, what's going to happen to the PS3? do you know what?
Sony is going to stop PS3 production and it will go 3rd party.
the point is, it's really dangerous to use a format that is actually in war. DVD9 is just more than fine this generation.
-
Mondain, go download the Uncharted demo and stop bitching.
-
:lol
I can't tell if you two are being serious or not.
Smells like winner

but the simple fact here is that Blu-ray will be the winning format regardless as Blu-ray storage is twice that of Hd-Dvd (40gb vs 20gb, suck on that xbots) Sony will be handing moneyhats to many major studios who in turn will make a major effort to fully optimise their hd movie transfers to fully take advantage of the increased strorage possibility that blu-ray offers, arguing otherwise is just... wow, its fanboy bullshit and Im sick of it. I took my Hdtv and PS3 over to my girlfriends house (who is also a gamer and a bit of a self-proclaimed 'tech-head' ;), she owns a psp and her favourite game is Tekken, shes really good at it) and put it next to her 32" Uniden unit which boasts a similar full Hd progessive scan capability to mine. I hooked a friends (dont worry hes not going to be my friend for much longer) xbox360 with Hddvd add on to one tv and PS3 to the other, and did a full critical analysis of hddvd playback vs. bluray. needless to say the results were pretty conclusive, Hd-dvd was 25% granier and didnt appear to be in full progressive scan 1080p, whereas the blu-ray disc looked lovely and sharp. One the Hd penetration level reaches critical mass of 32% I have no doubt that Sony will win this gen. The success of the Ps1 and Ps2 are testament to this. Sony did not get to the top due to fluke, just due to their genuine passion for gaming and a genuine commitment to providing the worlds best digital entertainment equipment

OMG :lol :lol :lol
Scenester :lol
-
That sucks, and is why I'm not buying a 360 for a bit. I know like 10 people ril with 360s and they all have run into problems
-
Scenester, are you serious? :D
-
100%. MASSIVE DAMAGE
