Short story: Particle's house got repossesed because his grandma took out a loan and the loan company completely and utterly fucked her over big time. His family is in a lurch, they're literally being kicked to the sidewalk in a day or two. Anyhow, it was his sister's 9th birthday and he was supposed to get her a DS, but as his family is totally shit-broke, it was a no-go. I organized a little drive and got some GAF folks to chip in (17 committed, 6 paid and 2 donated games so far)and get the girl a DS because she's 9 and life sucks and it's only 5 bucks a person, so fuck it.
Anyway, if any of you guys would like to kick in a couple of bucks on a little early X-Mas cheer PM me and I can give you the details.

Current DS pricing is like 130, which breaks down to 10.83 bucks a pop. I know some of you weren't able to donate as much and some of you are able to donate more, so just give what you can. If the total donations are more than than 130$, anyone who donated in excess of 10.83 will recieve a proportional share of the excess cash back. Does that make sense? It does in my head.
Anyhow, I couldn't figure out how to create a "charity" sort of PayPal account, so I hope you don't mind sending along to my personal account. I realize that sounds a little bit shady, but by my post count alone I'm sure you realize I'm not some lurker trying to make a quick buck. My AIM name is zimog if you have any questions for me. I won't accept any funds until the totals are in.
I actually haven't checked back in the thread to see if anyone else is in, but if that happens and the average donation cost falls, I'll refund anything in excess of the 10.83 at the moment, should you choose to donate over that amount.
I'll keep an Excel tally of the amounts and update you guys on the situation at the end of the evening.

Some of you guys sent me PayPal payments without your username so I wasn't able to attach a payment to a name. If you prefer to remain anon, that's fine, but below I'll list a first name and you can PM me back if you'd like me to recognize the contribution in relation to your GAF-name.
Moral of the story: Tell me your GAF name in the PayPal business!

I've talked to him already, it's not BS and this shit happens a lot more than you think it does. I've confirmed everything, it's all legit. he posted pics of his sister's birthday, I'm not gonna ask a 15 year old for pics of himself and his 9 year old sister. That's Synbios territory.

If he wanted to bait a community for money or gifts, he'd have aimed for a way more expensive item. It doesn't seem to be worth these sorts of risk for something like a DS that costs so little.

I was extremely articulate as a teen, especially as a younger teen. I think I've become progressively dumber over the years, though. =/

I didn't fit in with everyone else, yeah I tryed to fake it but after awhile it gets tiring. I found GAF after being a "lurker" on IGN and other forums for awhile, something clicked and ever since Ive enjoyed posting there.
Anyway, like Ive said before, I'm still in shock that you guys would do this for me and my family. You have officially made a little girls Late Birthday / Early Christmas the best one yet.
I owe you all so much but right now I can only give my gratitude so I hope that is enough for right now.

No see as I mentioned to GilloD and in the thred on GAF, they did decide to give us money. Of couse, it was after dealing with them since the 7th and after the fact we had enough money. They're thing was they needed to move money around and we can still keep the money to buy food and stuff.
Whatever, they'll get their fucking money back. Might not be right now but they will be repayed(in pesos, probably).
