Title: DOUBLE MOVIE NIGHT: come and lol at me
Post by: TakingBackSunday on November 11, 2007, 08:42:41 PM
I've never seen either of these:

Chinatown and Dr. Strangelove.

So tonight, I watch them both.  Back with thoughts on both later (maybe tomorrow, it might get too late).

Both are good, but I have a soft spot for Chinatown.  I dunno, it just appeals to me.

strangelove is so boring

yup.

It was late and I was dozing a bit every once and a while, but it really is quite boring.  I'll pop it in again after school and give it another go, but for right now, I don't really understand the love it gets.

Now Chinatown....HOLY SHIT!  Awesome movie.  A classic mystery and one of Nicholson's greatest roles.  Incest story plot= :hyper

I watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind last night probably for the first time.  First time I've ever paid any attention to it anyway.  I was sort of expecting it to be a shit heap as most people tend to cast it as lesser-Spielberg, but I quite enjoyed it.  It sort of falls apart in the middle as the characters deal with how their encounters have affect them, but the payoff is worth the ride.  Richard Dreyfuss is all kinds of awesome.

It was either that or Cruel Intentions, which I will probably watch tonight.  Or The 39 Steps, but I haven't been in the mood for thinkin' and shit lately.

People who find strange love boring are under intelligent!   >:(

I showed it to a girl while we were working on a project on the cold war last year; she liked 13 days better.  :-\

Maybe it's nothing.  I'm still a bit loopy from the weekend.
