I fired up DW5 Empires to continue my conquest of China and some stupid freeze archers froze me in place while two generals killed me. Yeah, thats fun. Gundam for me thanks!
-
Musou sucks without BURNING GUNDAM?
-
That could be it too!
-
MAF, can you play Japanese PS2 games on your machine?
-
Hey Ichirou, how much is the Basara 1 & 2 boxset going for in Japan? I'm getting the urge to place an order on it...
-
No idea...want me to check on it this weekend?
-
Ichiro: noo3s!

Argh, I was gonna send you Climax U.C. and The One Year War, the two best Gundam action games. :(
-
DW: Gundam will always be my #1, BACK OFF
-
DW: Gundam is the first DW I've liked
-
lol, what? I am sure DW: Gundam is awesome and I'm sure if nothing else it's graphically superior to these two PS2 games, but I thought you'd enjoy some more good Gundam gameplay. :'(
'Sides, they're really cheap nowadays, too.
-
Its FUN Gundam gameplay, which is what matters. After suffering so many horrible gundam games stateside and watching gundam fans rave about them I only trust my GUT INSTINCT! My guts tell me DW Gundam is tops.
-
The games I'm talking about are fun too. Did you play Encounters in Space? Climax U.C. is a more advanced version of that. And One Year War was developed by Namco before they started to suck.
I've probably put in over fifty hours on Climax U.C. alone.
-
One Year War was developed by the Ace Combat team. It's wowsome.
The railshooter levels in Encounters in Space are brilliant. Climax UC is pretty cool, too.
-
The best railshooter level in Encounters in Space is A Bao A Qu, I think. The one with the special appearance by the GMs from Gundam: The Ride. That's an incredibly well-designed level. :rock

Hell yeah! I play that level over and over and over. So awesome.
-
Climax U.C. does a lot of stuff better than Encounters in Space (streamlined combat system, tons more mecha, more levels, nicer graphics, all the great licensed music from the various shows, etc.), but I do miss some of the lengthier on-rails levels from Encounters in Space at times.

Im suspect of people who fondly remember music from a robot anime :/

I think it's pretty cool when you're playing a stage based on an anime and the background music is actually the same as the episode the stage is based on. Even more impressive when you consider that they're including all the appropriate music for nearly all the U.C. shows. :D
FWIW, in Japan they just re-released Another Century's Episode 2 (action game based on mecha animu) and the big selling point was that they included the anime music this time around.

People keep saying Shin Sangoku Musou 5 is more akin to Gundam, so if you guys try DW6, you might like that. For what it's worth, despite the fact that I sold it, I am thinking of giving Gundam Musou another look later on when it finally comes out for 360 here.

DON'T. Wait for Basara 2 Heroes in a few weeks. Basara 1 sucks, and Basara 2 Heroes has everything in 2, plus more.
-
USE ENGLISH NAMES I CANNOT TELL WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT :(
-
Hand in your badge and gun, MAF. Your Musou License has just been revoked. :'(
Shin Sangoku Musou 5 = Dynasty Warriors 6
Sangoku = Chinese stuff (three kingdoms); I.E. Dynasty Warriors
Sengoku = Japanese stuff (the warring states period); I.E. Samurai Warriors and Basara. I refuse to call Sengoku Basara 2 "Devil Kings 2." :P
-
I dont follow the japanese market, its useless to me until it gets here.
