Title: ART cigarillo AGE: What has become of me?
Post by: TVC15 on November 18, 2007, 05:24:07 AM: I am reading about the Domus Aurea while listening to Shostakovich. And I'm reading a ton about medieval and Roman history, mainly because of Caligula, Kingdom of Heaven, and Assassin's Creed having such an impact on me.

What's happening to me?

Is that really that weird? I read about all these stuff when I was a kid. It's just like adventure stories except they're real (maybe a bit exaggerated sometimes). Roland was one of my idols for a long time.

I was fascinated by the Crusades and by the Templars and Rosicrucians and stuff back when I was a kid, as well as all the different monastic orders and all the wars going on in Europe during the middle ages and lines of succession and royalty and feudalism and whatnot.

But then again, my dad's an art history professor, so instead of fairy tales, for bedtime stories he used to tell us tales of El Cid, Roland, Roman emperors, and Greek myths. So that's probably where that came from.

My dad is awesome.
